Walker|West Music Academy

A home for Black music and mentorship in the Twin Cities since 1988 — and the place where this year's headliner, Stokley, first found his sound. JazzFest is their gift to the block, and nearly every artist on this stage calls Walker|West home.

Stokley

Artist · Drummer · Songwriter · Producer

An American singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist best known as the lead vocalist and drummer of Mint Condition. Raised in St. Paul and shaped at Walker|West, he headlines Saturday night and returns the next day to host the festival's masterclass at Harmony Hall.

Established in 1898, the official band of the State of Minnesota and the only remaining state band in the United States, founded under the direction of Christian Selling.
